2 Definition of cookies
Cookies are small text files that are sent by websites to the terminals of users who visit them. After being stored by the terminals, they are re-transmitted to the same websites upon the next visit to the same terminal (“own, first-party cookies”). While browsing a website, the user may also receive on his terminal cookies from different websites or web servers (“third-party cookies”) which are set by a website other than the one he is currently visiting. This happens because on the website visited there may be elements such as, for example, images, maps, sounds, specific links to web pages of other domains, which reside on servers other than the one on which the requested page is located.

The duration of cookies can be of multiple types. In fact, there are temporary cookies (i.e. limited to a single browsing session on the browser) which are automatically deactivated when the user closes the browser; or persistent cookies which have a predetermined expiry date and will remain stored and active on the user’s hard disk until the date of expiry or voluntary deletion, continuing to collect information during different browsing sessions on the browser.

3 Cookie classification

3.1 Technical cookies
Technical cookies are used for the sole purpose of allowing the user to navigate the website and allow him to use it to its full functionality. They can be first-party or third-party cookies, as they are not managed directly by LB.

Some technical cookies, “navigation cookies”, are essential to offer the user an optimal browsing experience or to allow the registration of a user profile that allows, for example, access to the private area on the website or a online purchase. Browsing cookies are normally temporary cookies.
Other technical cookies, “functionality cookies”, are useful for memorizing some user preferences (for example, language, browser type or country of origin) without having to reset them during subsequent visits. Functionality cookies are often persistent cookies.

3.2 Analytical cookies
Analytical cookies are used on the website to collect statistical information, in aggregate or non-aggregated form, on the number of users who access the website and how they visit it.

3.3 Profiling cookies
Profiling cookies are used to collect personal data and create a user profile, based on the preferences expressed while browsing the web. They allow us to offer the user advertising messages adapted to their consumer profile based on their tastes and habits.

As required by current legislation on privacy, the user’s prior consent is required for the installation of these cookies.
The user is free to prevent the installation of profiling cookies at any time, without compromising the possibility of visiting the website and enjoying its contents. If the user decides to disable profiling cookies it does not mean that he will no longer receive advertising on the website. Furthermore, the advertising displayed may not reflect your interests.
